| Meet Becky Clark, Taxidermist, Co-owner... After graduating Texas State University, in 2002, with a Bachelor of Science Degree - Becky decided to enter into the taxidermy field full time. In 2003 she entered her first taxidermy competition and walked away with a blue ribbon. For her, that was a turning point and a realization that taxidermy was definitely the field that she would choose for a career. From that point on, Becky has studied under some amazing and esteemed taxidermists helping to characterize and hone her skills. Becky looks at each mount, from her Bobcats to African Lions, as an artistic piece that reflects the beauty of the species. She always feels there are new skills to be learned and strives each day to engage in studying, when ever the moment arises. For years Becky has worked as an independent contractor for a number of taxidermists throughout the state of Texas. In 2007; Becky, along with Josh, first opened Rustic Reminders Taxidermy. It was through word of mouth that Rustic Reminders was able to grow into a full service taxidermy shop. Then in 2010, through much contemplation, Josh and Becky decided to open their doors to the public and begin advertising to grow their business even further. When Becky is not working on taxidermy, she enjoys being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. She also enjoys attending and competing in Taxidermy Competitions. |
